  1. What is Neuro Coaching?
    Neuro Coaching is individualized support designed to help neurodivergent individuals develop practical strategies, build confidence, strengthen executive functioning skills, and navigate everyday life in ways that work for them.

  2. Who do you work with?
    I work with neurodivergent individuals (primarily ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder) and the families who support them.

  3. What ages do you support?
    Services are available for children, teens, and adults depending on individual needs and goals.

  4. Do you work with both children and adults?
    Yes. Coaching can be tailored to support both younger clients and adults navigating daily life, school, work, routines, or transitions.

  5. What kinds of challenges can coaching help with?
    Coaching may help with organization, routines, emotional regulation, overwhelm, motivation, planning, transitions, school-related struggles, accountability, confidence, and daily-life management.

  6. What are executive functioning skills?
    Executive functioning skills are the mental processes that help us plan, organize, manage time, regulate emotions, stay focused, remember information, and complete tasks.

  7. How is coaching different from therapy or counseling?
    Coaching focuses on practical strategies, goal setting, support, accountability, and skill building for everyday life. Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or medical treatment.

  8. Do I need a formal diagnosis to receive coaching?
    No. A formal diagnosis is not required to benefit from coaching services.

  9. What does a typical coaching session look like?
    Sessions are personalized to each individual’s needs and may include discussing challenges, creating strategies, building routines, practicing skills, reviewing goals, and problem-solving everyday situations.

  10. How long are sessions?
    Regular coaching sessions are approximately 60 minutes long.

  11. Are sessions offered virtually or in person?
    Yes. Sessions are available through Zoom or in-home, depending on location and availability.

  12. What areas do you serve for in-home coaching?

  13. What happens during the Free 30-Minute Starting Point Session?
    The Starting Point Session is an opportunity to discuss goals, challenges, questions, and determine whether coaching feels like a good fit. Once scheduled I send you a document to help prepare for the SP Session.

  14. How do I know if coaching is a good fit for me or my child?
    Coaching may be a good fit for individuals seeking practical support, personalized strategies, accountability, and encouragement in navigating everyday life.

  15. Do parents participate in sessions?
    Parent involvement can vary depending on the age and needs of the client. Parent support and collaboration are welcomed when helpful.

  16. What kinds of goals can coaching focus on?
    Goals are individualized and may include routines, organization, emotional regulation, school success, independence, motivation, self-advocacy, or life transitions.

  17. What are visual supports and how are they used?
    Visual supports are tools designed to make information easier to process and remember. They can help improve organization, routines, communication, independence, and emotional regulation.

  18. Are visual schedules and cue cards included in services?
    Yes. Personalized visual supports may be created as part of coaching services when beneficial to the client.

  19. How often do clients typically meet with you?
    Session frequency varies based on individual needs, goals, and schedules. I have some I meet with once a month and some I meet with weekly.

  20. Is support available between sessions?
    Yes. Responsive support between sessions is available through text or email for encouragement, accountability, and guidance.

  21. What experience or background do you have?
    I have experience supporting neurodivergent individuals in educational and supportive care settings, along with a background in elementary and special education, and personal lived experience.

  22. Are you a licensed teacher or educator?
    Yes. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education and hold Washington State teaching licensure.

  23. What inspired you to start Next Step Neuro Coach?
    Next Step Neuro Coach was created from a passion for helping neurodivergent individuals feel supported, understood, and empowered with strategies that truly work for them.

  24. Do you have lived experience with neurodivergence?
    Yes. As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent individual, I bring both professional experience and personal understanding to my work.

  25. Does Next Step Neuro Coach LLC. accept insurance benefits?                                                        Unfortunately no, because coaching is a non-clinical/non-medical service most insurance providers do not provide coverage for sessions.
